Worker Caps -
A friend of a friend was a welder and he had the occupational hazard of sparks. They burned holes in his caps. He did a lot of work for awning companies and as such had access to canvas from the replaced tarpaulins. To solve the spark issue he bought a sewing machine and fashioned the colorful recycled canvas into caps. He became quite an artist at it and we reproduce here in his style a vibrant collection of cotton canvas, duck and twill short, soft brimmed welder's caps.
All are round, soft-crown, with a flexible 2” visor having a spruce cotton under-visor. Inside there is a matching fabric, soft sweat band . The crown has no front backing. Large button. Fabrics are all cottons: duck, twill, canvas and waxed canvas.
