Ball Caps of the 20th Century -
There have been a hundred or so obscure and abandoned leagues with thousands of lost teams. Presented below are a compendium of caps with interesting logos and stories. They range from the almost unknown Black Hills League of 1891 to the major league Federal, and Players Leagues. There are acronyms like the KITTY, FLAG and PONY Leagues. And pompous ones like the Inland Empire and Iron and Oil Leagues. Our caps cover a range of styles and their particulars and histories are illuminated in the descriptive product box.
As the caps below are from different eras, the construction varies slightly. Generally, they are round, soft-crowns, 12 oz. wool flannel, with a hair canvas backing and leather sweat band. Visors have a dark green under-visor.
