Solid Color Caps -
Linen is the intrinsic summer fabric and we have made caps from it for clothiers for some 15 years. Lightweight and breathable, highly absorbent and far more durable than cotton, linen has traditionally been more expensive owing to the difficulty of raising the flax plant. It has been dated to 8000 BC and in ancient Greece there is evidence of a linen industry shown on 4,000 year-old tablets. While Ireland has traditionally dominated production, our linen caps are of medium weight Italian origin.
All are 1940's, round, soft-crown, medium weight linen. Inside, is a hair canvas front backing and matching color cotton sweat band. The 3Ē visor is the modern length and has a dark green cotton under-visor.
