Early Baseball Caps - 19th Century Baseball - CLEVELAND SPIDERS 1896

The Cleveland Spiders, also know as the Forrest Citys, Blues and Steamers had a long and sometimes successful run from 1882 to 1888, but in their final year, 1899, they sold off 3 Hall-of-Famers: Cy Young, Jesse Burkett, and Bobby Wallace, and finished 20134, the worst record in baseball history - finishing 84 games out of first place, setting the record for most consecutive losses in a season, most losses in a month, and loosing 40 of their last 41 games. We honor them with a handsome version of their 1896 cap. Maroon Wool Body, 4 Rows Black Braid, Short Flexible Visor, Leather Sweatband.
