THE UNION OF MORRISANIA
Back in the Pleistocene of baseball (1855) the Union of Morrisania, long associated with infamous Boss Tweed, played and won its one game of the newfangled National Association of Base Ball Players season by beating Young America 25-8 (the fielding wasnít to good back then). Eventually, and this is when our cap is from, they would have a great rivalry with the Brooklyn Atlantics, the powerhouse club of that era. When baseball went professional the Union didnít and it expired in 1873. Brown Tweed Boston Club Style. Soft Flexible Visor.
