BAY PARKWAYS 1934
In the salad days of the 1930’s they couldn’t get enough baseball. Big leaguers organized semi-pro teams playing on them for the fun of it, or to support youth. Nowhere was this inclination greater than in NYC. Phil Rizzuto organized a team in Queens and other Yankees, Dodgers and Giants played on nightclub teams or for Saks 5th Ave. with amateurs. Hank Greenberg swung for the Bay Parkways in Brooklyn. This cap, the first we know of with an alternate-colored front, is from that team. Navy and Gold Wool Crown, 3” Visor, Red and Black Shadow Felt logo.
